Atrato Onsite Energy, a UK-focused rooftop solar company, is investing more than £31m (€36.6m) in two separate transactions.
The London-listed renewable energy investment trust said it has acquired Sonne Solar, a company that has an operational portfolio and development pipeline for behind-the-meter (BTM) solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
The operating portfolio consists of 33MW of installed capacity across 32 rooftop and ground mounted BTM assets in the UK. The development portfolio consists of 33 other pipeline sites that are part of a framework agreement with a single company.
Sonne Solar was acquired from Cero Generation of Green Investment Group.
Atrato also said it has reached financial close for a new 1 MWp rooftop solar project, benefiting from a 25-year power purchase agreement with a subsidiary of Recipharm.
Gurpreet Gujral, Managing Director of Atrato Partners, the firm’s investment advisor, said: “We are delighted to announce these transactions. Sonne’s operational assets are an immediate source of revenue for Atrato, while the development portfolio provides an attractive additional pipeline. »
Gujral said the Recipharm transaction represents Atrato’s first venture into the pharmaceutical sector.
“We are delighted to be able to provide Recipharm with a new rooftop photovoltaic system that will generate long-term, low-cost and fully traceable green energy.”
