Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, has announced its call for applications for its 2021/2022 scholarship program. Now in its second year, the program aims to encourage hard work and academic excellence among Nigerian undergraduates.
Students who have taken the 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Enrollment Examination (UTME) and have been admitted to one of the higher education institutions in the country can apply for the scholarship program, worth 40 000,000 N. It is structured to cover academic expenses over a period of four years and will be paid to each successful candidate in increments of 100,000 N per academic session. Disbursements from the second year will also depend on maintaining a minimum of an upper second-class GPA and the good conduct of the beneficiary student as referenced by the university.

The organization, he noted, has continued to demonstrate that education is one of the fundamental pillars of its corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives and has reflected this position in its various activities.

Selection criteria include a minimum score of 250 at UTME 2021 and a letter of admission to a Nigerian university issued by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) or the university. At the end of the scholarship application review process, only 100 successful applicants will be offered the scholarship.
